Jun 14, 2014 路 rick. 3895 posts 路 Joined 2008. #4 路 Jun 14, 2014. Have used oil from the dealer in my 05 800 since new, no synthetic or anything. Change it every 3000 miles, now have 108,000 miles on it. This is what works for me, Have used Bosch or Fram filters for the last 6 years. Like I said, this works for me. 2005 800 classic.
